My Personal/Business Website or My Favorite Site I'd Like To Share With The NSN Community
Well Val, I've been trying to figure that out since I heard you guys. I reckon I'm a little ECO and a little EXO. The categories seem a little to pat. But alot of the confusion could be what I have had to push myself to do, rather than what I might be like if I were left to my own devices, if I could put it that way.
But my life is so strange right now and I am so absorbed with what I'm doing, that I'd probably be shocked by what someone like you would say about it.
I know you'll totally appreciate this one, and it's not even 1/243th of the whole story...
So I totally took my cross-cultural foot fetish research to a whole new level and holy crap, I just realized I'm an absolute lunatic! Let's just say no more foot fetish worshiping parties in NYC for me!
Sometimes I scare myself with the weird experiments I carelessly put myself through, but damn... I could write a better paper for that presentation now!
Hi
Thanks for the welcome. I really like the site and have spent a little time going through some of your info. I love your posts - VERY informational & fun spirited.
Well, I am an occupational therapist. I work in mental health settings primarily and with governmental orgs. I am really into the spirit-mind-body-world interconnectedness, etc & in particular the application in MH practice. As you can imagine - it is not easy being entrenched in the medical model with this perspective but I have had some great doors open and have been able to bring a lot of more humane and ultimately spiritual practices into MH across a variety of levels. I am quite certain this is my "purpose" and it entails a lot of fun and a lot of very difficult encounters.
I work to bring a lot of what we OT's call sensory modulation approaches into practice, cognitive/functional assessments, naturally the typical battery of psych approaches, yadda yadda...
I met Dr Mark at one of the Snowflake conferences on nonlinear dynamics. I came into that "think tank" a few years ago with a friend who is (like me) trying to use NLD to better explain the dynamic/complex nature of what we do as OTs in our therapeutic relationships. It has been quite a trip so far. Dr Mark has been a real help in bringing my "ontoness" in particular, into this new dimension, when I can keep up with him that is - I try!
I have a website that goes more into some of the stuff I am into: www.ot-innovations.com I will be doing a lot of work to my site this summer so stay tuned! I'd love any suggestions.
Additionally, I really love dance & music - especially live, gardening, my deck in the summer, reading, a great margarita & being with the kids/family (when they are not whiny/demanding). Oh yeah - also love baseball, speaking of which - time to go watch the Sox!
Civil service three weeks ago before he left how very romantic haha we're going to have a big wedding in a little over a year when are we reuniting for soma nights? I miss them
I am doing good, seeing this new thing, its kind of cool. I left work but they want me back so bad. Hahaha. Other than that I am fine, looking for another job and planning a trip to DR soon. Good to see you around here.
Yeah, i'm glad you are coming back because I missed it. I always leave strict instructions that no fun is to be had while i'm gone. They never listen to me...haha
